About Bullenbaai

This site is on the central west coast of Curaçao. It extends from the lighthouse at Kaap Sint Marie in the north to the town of Sint Michiel in the south, about 12 km north of Willemstad. The lighthouse is of frame constructions and is about 12 meter high. You can reach this site from the shore, but boat entry is preferable because of waves, current, private property and the shallow rocky entry. This bay is wll known for its spectacular vertical wall, from 10 meter with a drop below 46 meter. This is a very deep dive site and the wall is 90 degrees. This is a few minutes swim northwest from the mooring. Wide angle photos opportunities at the steep wall, just remember to watch your depth. This site is not suitable for novice divers because moderate swells and currents are usually present. Make your safety stop at the shallow areas, they are quite nice. If the weather permits then the shallows is a nice area for snorkelers.
