About Avaavaroa Passage

Awesome dive for the experienced only. Following a canyon from the outside of the fringing reef, you find a hole in the canyon walls that leads you through a tunnel underneath the surf zone to another smaller canyon, which than leads you into the lagoon. This dive has the strongest currents on the island, which makes it so great! In season you find lots of grey reef sharks and eagle rays inside this passage, but you are nearly guaranteed to see whitetip reef sharks all year round.
