A great dive for beginners! The Raleigh lies 5 miles off Pt. Colborne, ON, Canada and sanke in 1911. The wooden freighter damaged her rudder during the wind storm and ran aground and took on water in the storm. 3 people died. The ship's boiler, prop, rudder, winch and ahcnor chain are easily viewed, while the rest of the wreck is fairly broken up and scattered. This is one of the most popular sites for new divers and is a great last dive of the day for deep divers. The wreck is 235' long and is a spawning ground for bass.
