An easy dive for beginners. Here lies the wreck of the Gertrude an old paddlewheeler that use to run up and down Waterton Lake. To find the wreck enter the water straight in from the tap on the shoreline. The stern is in 20 feet of water, with the bow running down the slope to about 55 feet (depth can vary with lake level). The bioler and much of the iron is still intact. The wooden frame is still there although there is a lot of wear. Bouyancy control to stay off the wreck is a must to help preserve it.
