About Pillar Coral

One descends down into a collage of beautiful corals and other fascinating marine growth, down further to a sandy channel which is pressed up against the reef. The dive site is part of Hol Chan Marine Reserve and as such there is a 5 dollar fee to dive this location, though the price being a non-issue when it comes to the beauty of this site. One of the highlights of this dive site is the vast amount of fish life that's present, you can come across yellowtail snapper in abundance; Jacks, Chub, Squirrelfish, Gobies, Grouper, Stingrays and even Barracuda. Other interesting rock and coral formations are located throughout the dive site. It is also important to note that one is only able to dive here with a local dive master.
