About Mata Cut

Located to the north of Punta Arena Canyons, Manta Cut has an amazingly shallow wreckage which lies inside of the reef at a depth of only 3 meters. The barge is covered in various different coral formations and is perfect for novice divers and snorkellers. Due to the shape of the reef one can often experience fairly choppy areas of waves despite the weather conditions. Marine life is wonderful with trumpetfish, triggerfish, parrotfish, grunts and much more This is also a good area for underwater photography.
