About VHB 54

This was a VHB54 Hopper Barge that was not 'powered'. It now lies in the ships graveyard outside of Torquay after being scuttled in the early 70's. She lies deeper than recreational divers would enjoy and this makes a great tech dive site. Take a look for the cogged wheel that was used in the mechanism used for dumping. The hull is penetrable and the tow cables still hang across the deck. It's a dark dive with very low vis but it adds to the mood!.
