This site is home to the Lady Elliot Shipwreck. This is also how the island got its name. This ship sank back in 1816 and today rests in a sandy bottom no deeper than 25 meters. She ishome to a beautiful display of marine life and enveloping corals. Due to the currents and water depth, this site is recommended for intermediate level divers.
