Quite a pretty dive site, but most people dive here for one reason alone. Crayfish. The area within .55nautical miles of the lighthouse in any direction is a total marine reserve, where nothing can be taken. Outside that, the crayfish abound. On one weekend, a group of divers caught 7 crayfish above 4kg, including two 5kg+ monsters. There are ledges everywhere, with lots of gorgonians, sponges, and such like. Quite an interesting area. The occasional weedy and leafy sea dragon have been seen here also. A couple of things to look out for. Be VERY careful picking the weather. If the swell is up, it turns the water into a dishwasher in no time. There is also "killer kelp" in abundance. These kelp trees grow to 20mt+, and can entangle you quite easily. If you're not into catching crays, the dive under the lighthouse is absolutely sensational.
