Hutchinson Shoal forms part of a chain of granite from the core the Glasshouse Mountains volcanoes many millennia ago. The site lies on the northern side of Stradbroke Island. The west of it has a 30m wall that makes for a breathtaking drift (or stationary if you wish) with its overhangs and marine life.
