This 46m iron Braque is of Scottish origin. The fateful day she went down was due to a collision with Corsair Rock on the way\y from Melbourne to Newcastle upon exiting the Port Philip Heads. Her captain attempted to return to the port and reached the point where she lies now in 20m of water having failed to attempt running her aground. Now she lies blasted out of the way of the channel traffic with not much other than a proud bow rising out of the sand. There is a however a hatch in the bow that has not, and may never be opened. She is popular to dive yet remains relatively intact. Watch your dive day choice and make sure its slack tide due to location at a time when there's no shipping traffic. A permit is required'
