De Palm Island is where you should go if you are seeking an exciting adventure in snorkelling You will have to go by ferry to this beach. But, you will not be disappointed this beach is more spectacular that any sight you may see. You may have to pay extra for your gear. De Palm feeds the fish in this wonderful aquarium like water. This is heaven for snorkelers. The lagoon is enclosed with calm, shallow water. For more experienced snorkelers, going out past the buoys is where the action is. You will enjoy viewing the shallow reefs in the deeper waters near the buoys, but do be careful; they can be a little dangerous. Directions: To get to the ferry you will need to go south on 1A, at the intersection of 1A and 4A turn and go west about 300m, then left for 500m. You should turn just before reaching the Spanish Lagoon. Drive all the way to the coast. Parking is available in the dirt lot. The ferry is to your right.
